Wandering in Paris' Montmartre Neighborhood
On a recent "exploration", I met up with Borey, a talented photographer and entrepreneur here in Paris. We wandered around the streets of Montmartre enjoying a day that almost felt like Spring. Franklin joined and learned a lesson in self-pacing as we walked up and down the hills seeking our next subjects. The highlight of the morning was definitely the pastries from Gilles Marchal. From the madeleine-shaped door handles to the drool-worthy displays...there was more than enough to get me to come back. If you're visiting Montmartre and feeling a sweet tooth coming on, I highly suggest stopping by to choose one (of everything...) or two of his heavenly treats.
On a side note, don't come to Paris to count calories, it's useless. I'm not condoning an unhealthy lifestyle, but I've been eating croissants for breakfast everyday and NO REGRETS (or pounds gained)! Paris truly is a moveable feast in every sense. There's no shame in eating your way through it. (Where's the side glance smirky emoji when I need it?!)
