A Fun Weekend in West France: From Bretagne to the Mont St Michel

It was time to go back to Bretagne to spend a weekend with my Mamie and to introduce Graham to the french countryside that I know. We had a day along the coast. A pit stop to the fish market of Pornichet, a drive across La Baule, a traditional lunch of mussels and fries at the Pouliguen, and a quick stop in the salt flats of Guerande. (Photographs of me by Graham of course. All others are mine.)

On our way to Guerande, we followed the coastline so Graham could also witness the beautiful "Côte Sauvage". I could do an endless amount of editorials here. There's just so much dramatic beauty.

On voyages pour changer, non de lieu mais d'idées

We travel to change, not locations but ideas.

On Sunday we went to church at the Abbey of Melleraye then drove to the Mont Saint Michel. This was the prettiest visit I've had there as nearly every other one has been either cold, wet, or windy. We spent nearly two hours just wandering around with Franklin, before taking a different route to head back to Paris.
