The Coldest of Colds: My Snowy Experience in Lapland, Finland

I crossed off one of my bucket list items on this trip: seeing the Northern Lights, which was a beautiful experience and I regret not having stayed outside longer to enjoy them. (But at temperatures ranging between -20 and -30 celcius, there was only so much I could handle).

I also got to cross other bucket list items: dog sledding and snowmobiling on a frozen river (ok that one may not really have been on my list, but I'm so glad I did it). 

Between these adventures, we gave snow-shoeing a go (not a huge fan, but could see where they'd be useful in the middle of nowhere) and did a few walks around the hotel's trails.
